We are a family-owned and operated Mexican Restaurant that has been serving the greater Sacramento area since 1973 and it is our mission to provide delicious, authentic food using fresh ingredients while offering a clean, friendly, and homey atmosphere for your family and friends. The year Señor Miguel Gomez offered the city of Sacramento the dishes he enjoyed as a child in Jalisco, Mexico we were located at 524 12th Street in downtown Sacramento, hence our name 

524 Mexican Restaurant. In January 2010 Señora Dora Amalia Gomez relocated the business to 3830 Northgate Blvd. where we remain today, as Dora, her daughter Luisa and her grandkids all work side by side still serving the same great dishes! 

We offer a variety of traditional Mexican cuisine with a few modern takes on a few of the classics. Our food is made fresh daily including our salsas and sauces, which are made from the finest ingredients that we hand-select from local vendors. 

Some of our popular dishes offered are Menudo which is served daily, our mouth-watering Carnitas plate, Chile Verde, Chile Rellenos, and our famous 524 Super Burrito which comes loaded. If you love salads, you'll have to try our delicious Fajita salad with our cilantro lime dressing!
